Parkinson's Drugs Again Linked to Compulsive Disorders (HealthDay)

HealthDay - WEDNESDAY, June 25 (HealthDay News) -- People taking dopamineagonists to treat Parkinson's disease are at risk for impulse-controldisorders such as compulsive gambling, buying and sexual behavior,University of Pennsylvania researchers report.

Many doctors will tell you that taking supplements only results in expensive urine and that food provides sufficient nutrition without taking supplements. Some people say that doctors only say this so you will be ill and have to pay doctors when you visit them, providing you have medical insurance.

I know of a woman who owed $80,000 to buy bulk l-alanine Mayo Clinic. She had been having cancer therapy and, according to her, the only thing that was happening was her debt to the clinic was increasing. In the end, she decided to look elsewhere for treatment. Would you believe it, her cancer went into remission when she began taking certain supplements that contain vitamins, minerals, protein, fatty acids, and herbs, of which some are detoxifying herbs.

One of the reasons doctors say that supplements are a waste of money is the large numbers of undigested and undissolved or partially dissolved supplements that are pulled out of the sewer traps each month. Evidently, there is an additional cost to the community when the traps are emptied because of the tons of pills and caplets that are caught and have to be disposed of.

You cannot argue with the many newspaper reports and photos of sewer traps full of supplement pills that have not been digested or completely dissolved. Many of these pills have their brand names still blazoned across their surface.

The dilemma for many people when it comes to choosing a supplement is knowing which supplement to choose and what type of supplements are the most suitable. Because, if the supplements are not going to be effective, then, as the doctors claim, it is expensive urine. It is even more than expensive urine if we consider what is being found in the sewer traps.

Another woman I know of says she has found the supplements that she takes are really much less expensive than what people claim. Actually, she sees purchasing supplements as a positive financial investment. You see, she suffered from chronic fatigue so bad she was unable to get out of bed most days. When she was introduced to the same brand of supplements as the woman mentioned earlier, who was able to overcome her cancer, this woman found that it was not long before she was up out of bed and running around full of energy. She was able to go back to work and earn an income, which before she could not. Because of this, according to her, the small investment she makes each day in her health has resulted in huge dividends.

At a social gathering just recently, a doctor asked me why I still take the supplements I do every day. We were discussing the dangers of pharmaceuticals at the time, which he said did not exist because they have been proven as safe. I told the doctor the reason I take my supplements every day is because, since I have been taking them, I am healthier and have had no medical bills.

If you are going to take supplements, you need to take supplements that are virtually 100% bioavailable--what this means is within twenty minutes of consumption they have been absorbed into your blood system. This way there is no wastage. Pills or caplets at best, provide only around 30% absorption.
